WOW!!!!!!! You guys blow me away even more every year! The turnout for this years event was AWESOME! Last count I saw was 802 rides! Posting the rules pissed off a few people but in the end served its purpose as we didn't have to turn away very many people. And only a very few of the wrong cars made it in. The vibe was one of the best yet. It felt like the old days of the show but with **** loads of cars to check out. Only two dip****s in the bunch that I experienced who did donuts late in the day. So stay tuned for possible repercussions from the fairgrounds. I know my wallet will be opened to pay for the damage that these two ***holes did. Anyway back to the positives...there were a ton of them. It was a beautiful 75 degree day filled with killer cars and even better people. I would like to have known what the townspeople thought of all of these tattooed hoodlums converging on the fairgrounds in their oil dripping heaps. I'm sure they were expecting a huge riotous explosion of severed limbs, gasoline and metalflake. But if you've ever been to a show in Northern California then you know different. The scene in our neck of the woods is SOOOO different from some others out there. There is ZERO at***ude and the place is packed with people who wouldn't hesitate for a moment to jump in and help their fellow rodder fix a problem whether they know them or not. OK, enough rambling. The bottom line is that YOU GUYS ROCK! I bow to you for your continued avid support of the scene and especially Billetproof. Thank you.
I posted a start...yesterday....Thanks a ton for a ****ing awesome show Kirk. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71100 It was well worth the drive, even if I had 2-3 times the drive....it would have been well worth it.
Kirk, I hope everyone realizes how much work it takes to put on an event as big as this one. It only takes a few incidents before facilities become unavailable and organizers get tired of the h***le. It was a great show, one I hope that will be available for all of the hot rodders and their families for years to come. Thank you and your staff for doing such a great job. -Mark.
That was my first Billetproof and it was great. My only complaint was that you ran out of event shirts. Great show, thanks for all the hard work
Thank You KIRK! The show rocked as usual. Karma is as Karma does, Dip**** number 2 in the black coupe doing donuts on the gr*** was broken down a quarter mile out of the gates. HaHa....
I was in Sacramento for work this week and visited the Towe Auto Museum. The old codger was telling me about a show in the area on Saturday, but I was leaving Friday night. Didn't realize this was what he was talking about Wish I would have gotten to stay and check it out. Looking forward to some pics.
Kirk - It was an excellent show. I saw a few people being ***holes, i apologize for that ****. I dont understand who thinks thier a big man tearin up the gr***. I didnt know exactly who they were, but that was incredibley disrespectful. -C***
Thanks, again, Kirk - for letting me stand around and putting on a great show. I had a great time... Thanks, too, goes out to the guys from the Swanx. I am pretty sure I have nearly fogotten everybodies names. I was glad that I got meet you fella's. Scott
Great day Kirk, This makes the 8th BilletProof I have attended and have enjoyed them all. That location is perfect for this event, hope the **** heads didn't ruin it for everyone. Keep up the effort we know it ain't easy. See you soon chuck
Hey, it was a cool show... a bit on the overwhelming side, but still cool. I hope you can still use that location in the future, despite a few people being ***holes. I'm happy the weather Gods decided to be kind enough and let us have a beautiful day that wasn't disgustingly hot like it gets out there. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. A big thumbs up to you and the Swanx and everybody who helped put the show together.
The show was great this year. Quality-wise, it was the best in a while; posting the rules and enforcing them made a big difference over last year. Almost everything there was worth looking at. Great job, Kirk. I wish I'd had the chance to talk to more HAMB'ers.
KIRK! the show was awesome, it was my 1st year, I already had a friend of mine ask if he can fly out and crash at my place next year. You guys put on on hell of a show, the venue was awesome and the cars were phenomenal. I will talk to a friend of mine who owns a hot dog stand and put here in touch w/ you for next year. (On a side note there was this red-headed punk rock doll there that made my day, should have tried to marry her). If there is anything that could be done to help next year, it would be a pleasure to do so. I will be posting pics later. You guys kick ***. - Doug
First off, let me say that I respect the amount of work it must take to pull off a show of that size. I'm sure you have countless hours into it, and it shows. I always have a good time. I do have a suggestion though. Sell beer at more places on the grounds. Maybe you could do like they do at the San Jose flea market and have those guys with the little golf carts that have the taps built into the side. I know one day rentals would be costly, but you have to know that even if you raised the 5 dollar entry fee by a dollar or two that attendance won't suffer. I would have stuck around longer if I didn't have to stand in the beer line. If I would have stuck around longer, I would have drank more, if I would have drank more I would have bought even more **** from the vendors that I didn't need.
Kirk, GREAT SHOW!! I loved seeing all the cars, old friends, new friends, etc.!!! Just remember who the ***-holes are and blackball 'em. Only complaint was the food($4.00 hot-dogs???). I'll be back next year(with my truck)! AL
John, No problem man... everyone needs a hug sometime or another... were are all family here and i love the hotroddin community... what great people! Kirk, what can i say... congrat's on another successful year of Billetproof...amazing Thanks for your contribution to a hobby/p***ion/lifestyle we all share of *****en kustoms and hotrods! Norcal has a great car scene and proud to be apart of it. It's good to support not only Norcal shows, but shows down south and in other states if possible and time/money permits... there's alot of other cool rides and people out there if you just venture out a little thanks again and can't wait for next year for sure. My girlfriend and I had the best time ever and just stoked to have her support in something i care so much for. best wishes and God bless, CAB
Congrats on a great turn out Kirk As for the Dip****s I think banning them from future shows is appropriate, sending them the bill and if they belong to a club I would but the club on notice (or ask the club to step up and pay the bill.) part of being a club is supporting other members, well the same can be said if they step out of line.
Kirk Thanks for the bithchin event, its my favorite one of the year . I liked how you handled the ******* on the new black hardly that snuck in, I was near by and just waiting for him to give you some punk*** lip . Greg =V8=
Great show!! It was my first billetproof and it ruled. It was worth the 420 mile ride from my place, and next year I will bring my soon to be done bike. Thanks for throwin it and hope you continue to do so. Mike
KIRK! First i should say Happy Birthday. (i noticed on the board) second is that me and my wife and children want to say thank you. This is my 6th billetproof and each year it never seems to amaze me on how well you do things. You have added a lot to this lifestyle. with two small kids it is not easy keeping my cars on the road but it is shows like yours that keeps me in the garage working. also it was great meeting some new faces and meeting a few "hamb" heads. Coupe de CAB you are a cl*** act and your coupe rocks. Sean and Scotty sorry (strangers) sorry i didn't get a chance to hang out with you fellas longer. Thanks again, Brad
kirk! ,My wife & i had a great time at our first billetproof. what a great event! only 2 suggestions: rent some portapotties! i thought i was gonna piss my pants searching for the john! LOL & why not get in & out burgers mobile kitchen to set up there. we ate there after we left & the lot was 1/4 full of rods & customs. See you next year!
KIRK!Wow is right!! I was a first timer and just want to say Thank You! I did sell a few used parts, but that was nothing compared to the cool people and new friends I met. after a few people started asking me if I had seen this ride and that ride I couldnt stand it and had to throw in the towel, packed up my parts and enjoyed the show, this is not a good show to swap parts at! THERES TOO MUCH FUN TO BE HAD CHECKING OUT THE CARS,BANDS AND PEOPLE Seen some really cool rides, talking cars and hanging out with new friends! I mean what more can you ask for! I would also like to give a shout out to the Swanx people at the gate they were cool and helpfull, were to park etc. (Angie was really helpfull!) good people! It was also cool to meet you in person,I also met & drank some brews and had some laughs at ALLISONS booth, all cool guys there too! (thanx for the Brewski's fellas!) You have hooked another one! I'll see you next year it was well worth the 420 mile drive from L.A I had a BLAST! Thanx Again, xtralow
I resemble that remark Kirk, like I told you yesterday before we left...... Thanks for the HARD work, it's much appreciated, Mrs A32, Ragdoll & Vanessa all enjoyed themselves at their booth, and it seemed to become an almost 'unofficial' HAMB meeting place, at one time I think I counted 14 of us there!! Thanks again, and lets hope the 2 ***hole's realise the error of their ways....
thanks kirk and staff!!!! did not think i was going to make it...now, a bit o/t but i think the only 'at***ude' i saw was my wife's old friend and his minions picking a fight with me after their falling out( he's 56 years old)... thanks to those who 'had my back' and kept it from escallating...love & respect... nic
Awesome show as usual man, I had a great time. Lots of cars, lots of cool people, even met up with a HAMBer or two. Have a question though.... do all shows on the fairgrounds have to have ARMED security? I don't know, I guess it's nice to know if there is a problem it can definatly be dealt with, but for some reason it bugged me. Billetproof has never been a roudy bunch, having about 10 guys running around with semi-automatics seemed a little too much. But good times!
