Guys...I'm considering a new project. I've got a 51 Olds Super 88 club coupe. Motor and trans are gone and the front suspension is shot. I've also got a 66 Buick Lesabre with a very good running 340 with a stick shift, but junk body. Im considering dropping the Olds body on the Buick frame. The Lesabre is basically the same as an Impala. Anybody ever done this swap? I'm gonna have to measure the Buick to see how close the wheel bases are, but I was wondering if anybody's done this before.
The Super 88 is the midsized Olds for 51.

Just checked....Lesabre is 3" longer. I think I can make it work. I'm thinking about grafting on to the stock Lesabre floor pan and firewall. Or do you think I should just fab new body mounts and floor for the Olds?
