Does anyone know of any other years of pitman arms that would work on a 53-56 f-100 box? (like an earily 50s F1?) maybe a dumb question, but i got only ideas, not answers. Thanks guys

I don't believe an F1 pitman arm will work they have a solid splined hole that a nut goes over to hold it on the f100 53-56 "clamp" on with a bolt and nut squeezing the pitman arm to the shaft, I don't know about later years though

57-60 also fit and they are set up for a tapered end tie rod. The 53-56 has the ball end. The arm mounts the same with the few splines and the big pinch bolt.

i know the pitman arm from the dump truck box will fit my 55 box, pretty wicked application there.... hahaha

can a guy swap pitman arms and drill out the spindle on a 55 to run the tie bar like the 57-60? just curious....
