I live near Dallas (Royse City). I have two projects underway (yeah, I know), a ratter 36 Ford highboy pickup, and a 57 F100. Both are powered by 300cu. in. Ford inline sixes.
Inline engines are my weakness, I can't help it, I'm hooked on the sound of an inline six with duals.
 To tell you the truth, I think they look kooler tricked out with multiple carbs and chrome. Beats the tired old "350/350 Combo" for style any day.

Welcome Inline6guy. Always nice to have another Texan on the board. Nothing like the sound of a hopped up 6. Any pics of your progress to post???

Yeah, as a lad of only 13, I was molested by a 41' Chevy. Was a closet inliner for years, then in the 80's I came out as a full fledged, died in the wool, inline engine junkie. I understand your pain.

Yeah, I'm on the south side of I-30 too.

Any of you inline junkies, be it 4, 6, or 8 cyclinder (yeah, they made inline 8's too) want to eat some good BBQ and swap BS with other inliners? The DFW area members of the Texas chapter of Inliners International get together the first Sunday of every month. That is NEXT Sunday Oct. 2, at Outlaws BBQ in Grand Prairie.

We get together from 11AM to ? at Outlaws (west side of the 2300 blk. of S. Beltline, about 2 miles north of I-20). After we eat we usually go out back and look over the rides and BS. There is usually between 12 and 18 guys. No usual club BS, no Robert's Rules of Order, no club song or secret handshake, just gearheads of the inline persuasion, getting together to swap parts and lies.

Got an inline, buildin an inline, lookin for a inline, fantisizing about inlines? Come on out, you're not gonna hear anybody say "Oh, it's only a six".

Too old for dancing:(, too reformed for drinking:rolleyes:, got a woman:p. That only leaves my work and my projects, and my work don't leave much time for the projects.I got a 51 Chebby fastback in my "too do, after I do what I'm doing" pile. If I ever get around to it, I might stick a 300 Ford in it too. I've got a 292 Chevy for it, but the Ford six is just soooo much better.
