I was bugging my buddy to give me this motor. He finally took a head off to inspect it. He decided I could have it, haha. I know how you guys love pictures, so here you go. Don't believe everything you read: I'm going to call them up and ask about the warranty, haha. The "good" one COOL! Hmmm. looks like el mirage, haha
More: Not quite so bad or not Have to measure and see what it was bored too. Hope to use it for parts.
I know they are still around. I was going to call the service department and ask about the warranty, and give them the numbers off the tag, haha. The crazy part is the huge chunks of steel that flaked off the heads. Never seen that before. I have to believe that was under water. I have never seen that much condensation damage.
The valley chamber looks as if it were stored in the river for a few years. Maybe if it was under water, it never froze.
I'm gonna put em in the bathtub and fill it with mol***es. The old lady will love it. We can warsh in the yard.
Hi, H.I. ........In my many years of experience, It looks to me like it was run hard without any gas in it ! _________________________________________ did you say it was given to You ? Maybe you can get your money back......
So I called them up to mess with a service manager, and maybe even get some info. They were bought by Spradley Barr 2 years ago. Computer system was changed 2 years ago. All records over 4 years old were purged. Only 1 old timer left in the department, and he started in 87, haha. Oh well. No plans for it currently. It will gather dust until I need it. I'll post if I tear it down any further. Cheers!
Yep....looks about like a rebuildable flatmotor to me !! Get it apart, and make a trip to the local machine shop........ 4TTRUK
