Hey Guys, Long time lurker on this site and really enjoy seeing all of the cool projects being done around the world. I created an account to pick the brains of a few older members regarding my ride... No pics at the moment, but I can post some if any interest. My latest project is a 1949 Pontiac Silver Streak 2 door. It was painted black with a brush over 30 years ago and now has an extremely cool patina. Since picking the car up I have done floor pans and have started building it into a street able rod. -narrowed 8.8" with 4.11, spool and Moser axels -Mustang II front end, stock everything except poly bushings -SBC 350 with forged internals and a Hilborn mech injection system - M21 manual 4 speed - custom headers (for clearance) with 3' single dump and thrush welded muffler -68 mustang buckets and rear seat Lots of work left to finish. Still have to wire it, finish the exhaust, build the interior, deal with the fuel/cooling issues of the Hilborn.... Yadda yadda. Thanks for looking and hopefully I can have this ****er going before too long. Cheers
Alright, here are two from my phone, sorry for the quality. There will be loads more once I get the engine running so I can putter around. Here is a pic of the car when I picked it up last Feb. Thats poplar fuzz on the hood, and car still looks like this, but now has rocker trim and stainless rock guards. And here is the Hilborn intake I picked up recently for the car. Finally bit the bullet and bought one, always wanted to run a mech fuel system on one of my builds. I am building the car to drive to the strip and on weekends, yes I am aware of what I am getting myself into.
Welcome form the middle of Kansas. With the 21+ inches of snow in the last week, I feel like we should be neighbors.
Cool build. Any issues getting the car inspected with a camaro clip? I wanted to do that with mine, but ended up maintaining the stock frame.
^^^^^ I put a G-body clip in it. 88' Monte Carlo I think. I never had it inspected. No reason to. Although I have in the past. It's never been an issue.
