hello everyone ,I just spent the last 2 hrs.searching for articles on installing a rack & pinion on a stock front suspension.I`m sure this subject has been beat to death.but I would like some info on years 1953-54 chevy 210 specifically. has anyone put this on thier ride?I`m completely convinced the IFS from the factory is more than enough for my old beater still running the old 235 P/G running gear would just like to turn the steering wheel a little easier in the parking lots.thanks for any help

  2. If easier steering is what you are after, I have a factory power steering set up off of a 54 Belair if you are interested PM me. It will bolt right up.

The Cavalier center take-off rack is the correct solution, but with one change. Rather than using the OE Cavalier tie-rod pivots on the rack, you need to mount a stout carriage plate to these two holes, then map the correct inner pivots for the Chevy IFS, locating the inner tie rods on the carriage plate accordingly. It's pretty straight forward, but illustartions help. Send me a PM and I'll get on the phone with you and explain in detail.
