Although I joined HAMB a year and a half ago, I got so wrapped up in retirement that I never got around to introducing myself. My name is Jim McKeen and I live in the mountains of Colorado. I always thought retirement meant having more than enough time to do everything, but that's not been the case. I tinkered with cars as a much younger guy, starting early on the farm, then got away from them during the family and career days. Now, I figured if I'm ever going to have another hot rod, I'd better get on the stick. I'm almost ready to paint my 40 Olds 2 door sedan, having stripped it to bare metal, hammered dents, fixed rust, installed a 78 Nova front clip for modern steering and brakes, and dropped in the requisite 350/350 combo. It was so much fun that I recently bought a 37 Ford Pickup that "needs work" (according to my wife, it needs to be hidden). I plan on much more involvement in the HAMB, happy to share some lessons learned and anxious to get great tips from other folks. I was going to attach a .jpg, but I reckon the file is too big. I see someone on the bad seller list has a "40Olds" moniker. That's not me, and I would have chosen something different if I'd known about it. Oh, well.
Jim, a belated welcome...glad you found time for us! Thanks for the proper introduction which often is not taken seriously. Good to me you and keep us posted on your progress (hint...share lots of photos)!
