The car has a pretty good stance and I bet all the extra work is going to pay off in the end. I wonder what the final weight will be ?

If the car is 1/2 as fast as this build has been, it should be one fast 55. ;)

Thank you guys, its been an adventure to say the least. Swade , the weight is something i think about all the time, speculation is between 2900 and 3100 . I do have a cast iron headed big block so that doesnt help, but the car has nothing left in it, so its not like there is a bunch of **** left in it, i even cut all the extra stuff out of the doors. Light car + big block + hilborn + alcohol = Mid 10s?

Tomorrow the car gets lettering, or at least the start of it, and some final parts came in, converter, alternator, window seal, and dipstick for the trans

VERY COOL Car. . .Was wondering if anyone on the H.A.M.B. ever remembers seeing or have pics of a '56 Belair 2 dr. Sedan built by Mike and Steve Rieff of Onawa, Iowa back in the mid-to-late Sixties. It was dk green metallic with a straight axle and a complete 427/425 h.p., 4-speed Ford drivetrain.
Also, the Bean Brothers from Onawa had a black '56 Vicky they raced at area tracks with a 401 h.p 390 Ford under the hood.
    THANKS
