Evening all, Can anyone give any suggestions on how to remove the paint form the cowl tag pictured below. I don't want to damage stampings or the aluminum. Thanks for all your help.

Regular old paint stripper, it won't hurt aluminum. Tape carefully around the edges of the tag if you want to save the body paint.

I agree with LHT, brake clean and a clean rag. I just did that on my valve covers that I didnt want to hurt or media blast and worked like a charm. Q-tips can probably help get between the letters better.

Methyl Ethyl Ketone (M.E.K.) solvent will get the job done too. Just don't snort too much of it...

    If you can buy it??

Methylene Chloride will wipe the smile off "Mr. Clean's" face.

Best stripper that I know of that is in a can. And I'm talking about the BEST!!

You can very much buy it. I buy it by 55 gallon drums. Expensive though.
