Pretty serious money for a gl*** car, before you buy it check the fit of the windshield stanchions (drivers side).
It's been my general observation that the majority of the public favors a gl*** car and a 350/350 I cannot tell you how many times people ask me why I don't upgrade to something better like a 350 instead of that old flathead stuff. People DO NOT get tradtional. We are a small group compared to the m***es my friends.
just reading through it the section that tells about the car made me wonder something quote "HAS NO WAY TO VERIFY THAT THE MILEAGE INDICATED IS ACCURATE, THEREFORE THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR INDEPENDENT VERIFICATION I.E. CARFAX." Wonder what the carfax is...does it show the history of all the parts used to build the car...??
Not having a Carfax report only means the previuos owner/owners didn't use it. Those silly commercials can be very misleading. Not a bad looking streetrod.
don't forget to add the 10% buyer's fee, so that $35,100 bid is actually $38,610 unless you are from Ca. then add another 8.5% but then if you are not from Ca. then you still will have your own state and/or county taxes to add plus shipping.
Add up the cost of the parts, paint and upholstery and you cannot build it with good parts for the 35 grand. A lot of folks want to ride ... but have not the time, talent or patience to build a rod. Add in a fairly well equipped shop and many, many folks cannot build one. If YOU owned it .........would you sell it for 35 grand or ask more ?? .
And who on this board would want to? Oh look -- Rumble seat, and no step pads on the rear bumper or fender?
