    Concours...what.

is there anything else to the name???

  5. I got the used electric unit outa my '59 Country Sedan if you need it.

  6. You could add a 12V vacuum pump and cannister to the system so they don't stall on hills, etc.

Do you think it will fit my Edsel? It is basically a Fairlane with a different face....How much? got pics?

    Lemme know...Thanks TD

  9. If'n you got the same firewall as a Ford I reckon it'll work. I don't know, I was just responding to someone else saying to get one out of a Ferd. Mebbe on the weekend I could run out and snap a pic

You asked for options, well have you considered finding out what's wrong with the system you got and replacing it with a new or rebuilt part? I had a '58 Edsel with vacuum wipers and they worked just fine. You might have a bad valve on the fuel/vacuum pump, a bad vacuum canister, a bad wiper motor, or a leak in one of the lines between the parts. Believe me, your car worked just fine when it was new, and all of the parts can be made new again. I just hate to see people toss out a perfectly good system to replace it with a different system that can break too.

  11. Depending on what carb yer running, If you have a power valve, get a bigger one. The sooner it opens, more fuel, more vacuum, more wipers.

Well now that you mention it my wipers have no vac***e lines to the carb...weird huh...I was messing with it last night and I got them to work. I think it has something to do with the cable that goes from the knob/switch to the wiper motor. I can turn them on by pushing on the sliding lever that is on the wiper motor....I guess that the cable doesn't push hard enough.

I will post some pics this evening so you guys can see.

    Thanks for the info/feedback
