Well, It's almost that time again. The Roundup will be here before ya know it. Most of you know that I try to give something cool away each year at the Roundup meet and greet. Unfortunately,my two favorite carvers are not available to make a one off shift knob this year. One's in heaven and the other one is just too busy. So I had to come up with something else this year. I wanted it to be something that would be universally desired by the average HAMBer. I was setting in my HAMB room sipping on some Diet Coke and looking at my Weezner collection. Then it dawned on me,who doesn't like Weesner's art. I couldn't think of anyone. So I contacted Keith about doing a painting for the Roundup give away. He said yes and I'm very excited about it. I don't know what he is going to come up with, but it really doesn't matter. "IT'S A WEESNER!" I'm sure he will post something when he gets it done. The rules are the same as previous years. Just pick up a free ticket from the Jalopy Journal booth from Ryan,or come to the meet and greet and get one from me. There is no money involved. We will have the drawing at the HAMB meet and great and the winner gets to take home an original Weezy. How cool is that? See ya at the Roundup. My favorite car show of the year. Doc.
What an awesome thing to do! Where else can you meet someone who would do something so nice. This place is great!
Its an honor to know a guy like you. I've only met you once, but you are one of my favorite people ever.
Now that definitely puts a positive twist on " going to see the Doc" ! Thats some serious swag folks. I mean cupie dolls, stickers and even t-shirts are great event mementos but a Weezner original !!! Get out ! Are you serious ? As if the Roundup isnt already an ***-kickin event of epic proportion. Gonna be awesome.
Wow! That's so cool. But how does Keith Weesner feel about you giving him away at the RoundUp? He may not go for it, with him about to be a new dad and all! ..oh, did I misread that? Very cool Doc!
Even more incentive to get my wreck done in time for the deadline... hope I'm there to meet ya Doc and not on the side of I10 kicking rocks!
That's awesome! Doc is truly a great guy. Its really cool to see someone who cares about others so much. Someone who finds joy in making others, sometimes complete strangers, so happy... Doc outbid me on a HAMB auction once and won it. He paid Ryan and had the item shipped to me when it was over. Of all the people on the HAMB that I'd like to meet, Doc is at the top of the list. Maybe someday we'll run across each other. Jim
Doc, you are the man!! Will be good to see you in Austin..this is very thoughtful of you. RIP our good buddy ole Norm....Joe
I agree with Joe, Doc. You are special! Nothing but wonderful things said about you. Hope to see you sometime soon. Sure wish we were there to see everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have fun and Joe be sure to tell me ALL! Everyone have a blast and enjoy!
This is an awesome thing that Doc's doing! I wish the Roundup wasn't a thousand plus mile trip for me. R1FIGHTER and I are on a 5yr plan to get there.
