Help ID This Rear Axle?

    I want to say it was a '71 or '72 Chevelle/Monte Carlo posi traction rear end but dont know for sure:

    Now I know everyone want's to just toss this thread out as "it's a 10 bolt dumbass" but wait a second. It's a posi 10 bolt for one. Now here's where it gets cool. I have a 79 Trans Am that has a 10 bolt under it. It was hack swaped in there with booger welded spring plates and those funny upper control arm mounts cast in the top of the pumpkin. I always wondered why someone would toss one for another. When taking it apart I noticed that it wasn't a c clip axle. This is rare in a 10 bolt I'm told. It's a keeper if it's the 8.5 non clip.

    After scanning the other thread, from what I saw on the internets when looking up my "non c clip" 10 bolt, is that it was a 2 year only Buick axle '72-'73 IIRC.
