LITTLE RICHARD Headlines 2013 VIVA LAS VEGAS Car Show ~ FREE for Car & Driver!

Cannot wait! My 61 is registered for the show and it'll be the first car show I'm in. Kind of nervous but confident my 61 will make it up and back.

As of todays date there are only 400 "FULL WEEKEND" tickets left. History shows that these will sell by this weekend. Anyone wanting to see everything (Tiki pool party, Burlesque show, bands and vendors inside,etc) should go to www.vivalasvegas.net and purchase them asap. Of course we still have plenty of car show only tickets. Thanks

Athough we won't be able to make it this time around, Lindsay and I have already put it on the calendar for next year. For anyone in Colorado who has never attended Viva, you should try your hardest to make it happen. There is nothing in the world that even comes close to Viva Las Vegas, and the Knights are an awesome group to go with. The cars, music, vendors, people, etc., are unrivaled, and Vegas is the ideal setting. You will never regret or forget it...

 

Axle, we had such a good time last year driving out in our '63 Mercury we just popped for two four day passes and plan to be there Thursday. Sadly we won't be driving one of our pre '63 cars but will be taking our 200 mph Cadillac

Can't wait.. My ride was accepted a couple months ago now just meeting the crunch to have it ready and unveil it there...

 

Never been to "Viva Las Vegas" ... although it remains on the "Bucket List." But to bill Little Richard as the "King of Rock-n-Roll" just ain't right!! No doubt he was very influential, and no doubt about his being an icon ... but the "King" label does a disservice to the real "Father" of Rock-n-Roll. That can only be Chuck Berry.

 

P.S. And if you need convincing ... remember that Chuck did time for likin' the girls -- not the boys -- a little too much!

 

Call him the "Queen" of rock&roll, he was the first of his kind, although many have followed..

 

I hear ya loud and clear Garry. Truth is I consider guys like Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Gene Vincent,etc. the Dukes, Prince's, Monarchs - something along those lines, and Elvis will always be the real King to my family and I. That said, Little Richard is a true showman and his band is incredible (unlike so many "Oldies" back up bands) and he's gonna rock the place !

 

Viva Las Vegas is da chit !!!

 

Si Cranston, The Cleftones, Janis Martin tribute, Rip Carson, Nikki Hill, Little Richard, Dick Dale, and so many others. The Mrs. and I are looking forward to this.
