Hey guys. Just picked up a '50 chevy 1/2 ton. Keeping it a 6. Its going to be a 292 with all the goods. My question is, are there pre-made dual exhaust set-ups out there or is it a custom mission? Searched around and couldn't find any pre-bent systems. Thanks.

  2. not sure about pre-bent pipes

i'd just have your exhaust bent locally at a good shop....that way you get exactly what you want. ask around and see who is good

Are you going to do headers?
Yeah, what 36-3window said. Go to a good exhaust shop.

X3. Not all exhaust shops have a skilled bending guy so ask around locally and check out some examples to avoid disappointment. IIRC I paid $400 for mine.

Usually there is a muffler shop within reasonable distance that gets a good portion of the hot rod and performance car trade in that area. That is where I'd take it to. Talk to the rodders and car guys in your area and find out where they take their cars and when you get the same answer with positive feedback several times you have found the shop to take it to. One thing I have found out the hard way is that just because a shop owner is a buddy doesn't mean that he turns out the quality of work you want.
