Yeah I think I am going to buy one of the 36 Pontiac transmissions off of Ebay when I get back from my Trip to New Zealand in April. I have to save my money until I get back from that. Thanks for keeping an eye out for me 70 Kid.

  4. If your looking for parts that are interchangeable go on Ebay and look for the seller niceantiques2. He has a lot of parts from 37 Odsmobiles. I have bought a few parts from him in the past and last time i looked he had a trans for either a 37 or 38.

There is only one six cyl. engine for a '37 Pontiac and that is a'67 Pontiac OHC Sprint motor with the Q-jet carb and the cast headers.Back that combo up with a 5 speed gear box and you'll have one sweet rig.

I do not know if it would fit on the 1937 six, but Pontiac offered a factory 2 barrel manifold on the 1953 and 1954 sixes.

Displacement of the 1937 six 208 CID
Displacement of the 1953~1954 six 239 CID

The two-barrel carb used was a Carter WCD 2010s.

Search crushing again. Just saw that thread for Beyer Salvage which shows a couple of 38 Pontiacs to be crushed soon. They will sell parts. Good luck.
