Well pretty nice car that someone is going to get to own. I am not sure about the mileage claim, in most states that I am familiar with that car would be mileage exempt as there is not real way of knowing if the speedo has rolled over or how many times it has rolled over. Anyway even having more than two doors it is a nice looking car, I even like the scallops. Most of the time scallops are just not real nice but I like those.
Looks like someone will get a nice car for little $$, unless the bidding gets stupid between now and the 8th... Bob
Current bid $3100 looks like a good deal if you want a 4 door 6 cyl cruiser. I would keep it just as it is. Too bad it's 4000 miles away.
Rusty I am a little closer and I am with you; if I managed to get it on my possesion I wouldn't do anything to it but maybe finish the interior and wax it and drive it.
Guys, Watch out, I don't think that this is a Government site. It might even be a scam. As far as I know (31 years working for DoD) ALL of our disposal sites end with .mil or .gov web addresses. a good example is the DLA site, http://www.dispositionservices.dla.mil/***et/fsclist.html. Larry
Even if they end in .gov or .org they may not be affiliated with whomever they say that they are. I got a call with a recording the other day claiming to be social security and having tons of local federal contractors who hire the disabled. I went and checked out their site but didn't sign up. I called social security and they said that they had nothing to do with them that they were just a temp agency.
It is a site the gov't used to get rid of stuff. Been buying stuff from it for years. Their shipping and handling are a bit pricey. Better to go and get the items. They usually don't ship big things so you would have to pick up the car yourself.
Good to here that it is legit. I am always leery of anyone claiming to be from the Guv'ment. Between 24.5 years active and reserve Navy plus 31 years civil service is it any wonder that I am paranoid? Larry
