Robbed in W.A state

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by malaguena, Sep 20, 2005.

  1. Guys im just throwing this out here in hopes someone here can help me locate my babies that were recently stolen out of my uncles barn in Lewis county.

They got my 1924 dodge roadster, shes semi gloss black with "in the rough is enough" painted below the decklid and has a compliment of stewart warner gauges in her.

The 1953 plymouth, green dash, black and white upholstery, really rusty floorboards and a slightly peeling black primer paintjob. She did have a trunk filled with early ford parts, an aftermarket(the name had been ground off) open drive shaft center section for an early ford rear. The inside also had several grill shells in it and two front fenders for a honda motorcycle. I was using her as shed to store stuff mainly.

My 1942 Ford jeep, now shes partially sanded down, so shes mostly grey and green, the windshield had been removed, but thats stolen as well, it may have been put back on. Shes all original, four cylinder and has red see through resin shift nobs.

They took my 1982 Kawasaki kz550, shes black on black and has all the badges taken off and filled. The headlight was removed and wasnt stolen.

My dads 1967 Chrysler 300, painted silver and heavily flaking. Red interior.

my best friends 1953 ford customline, 2dr, primered blue. six cylinder, 3 on the tree.

My 1984? suzuki ts100, shes painted green and has both the front fender removed as well as the turn signals.

also the radiator my my dads 1966 chevy pickup was stolen out of it and my uncles 8n or 9n ford tractor(im sorry ive no idea which it is) was stolen. Id three flatheadsw, all in partial dismantled condition, stolen as well. And an early round studebaker gas tank stolen as well.

Guys, they pretty much took everything I had stored out there. Any help would of course be appreciated.

Geez man, thats a whole bunch of stuff. They must have made many many trips.....or maybe used a tractor trailer?

    damn.

Was this stuff locked up or was it just setting in an open and unguarded barn?

I hate to say it, and I know it shouldn't be true, but leaving something out in the open and all by its lonesome, invites people to steal it. My neighbor complains a lot about his stuff getting stolen.....but you know what, I drive by his house sometimes at 2:00 a.m. and he's got the doors to his outbuildings open and his 4 wheeler setting out. Hell, it makes me start thinking bad things....

It had to be someone who knew the stuff was there.

Sorry to hear about this, but I'm just suprised at the amount of stuff stolen!

  5. out in the country, in an unlocked barn...

To be honest I lost my job, I couldnt afford a storage yard any longer, so i assumed being out there in a barn my stuff would be safe.

Again, I'm sorry to hear this...it makes me sick.

Its sad that we live amongst people who think because something is in an unlocked building, that its free for the taking.

I'm still suprised by the quantity of stuff stolen, It has to be some neighbors or something. I mean, how in the world did they get it all out without being noticed???

EDIT: I just got to thinking....HOW WELL DO YOU TRUST YOUR UNCLE???
I know I left a car at my mom's house and it came up missing. Ended up, she had it hauled off for scrap.....at least she told me about it.

sorry to hear that. man. thats big loss.

it seems like a real big opperation to take a large number of vehicles and other assorted parts. thats preety big risk to take all that and takes alot of planning.

I woudl start asking the people that knew the stuff was there.

  11. I feel your pain...believe me. This was taken from a locked shed in Northern Oregon.. My dad had left it to me when he died.....been in the family since it was new in 1930...
    Meth indeed.
    Hope you recover your stuff...
bust ass to the sheriff's office with VIN's as quick as you can.

good luck in finding your stuff...I will keep an eye out in this neck of Wa...joe

  14. I second that. I'll keep an eye out, but plan on the stuff showing up in a random meth. bust and being half worked over by some tweakers.

  15. That's shitty. I agree on the meth (a real problem in Lewis County) and keeping an eye on Ebay, and Craiglist too. I'm in Seattle and frequent several classifieds. I'll keep my eye out. Do you have pics of any of this stuff?

5:30PM, i arrive at my uncles barn to see for myself whats stolen, learn that they yanked the power steering from my uncles galaxie for some reason, though they left the new holley on it.. The '64 baja bug that my uncle said wasnt stole is now gone... maybe Joes an idiot or maybe they got it today?

I waited for the police to arrive at the barn at 6:00pm, the time they said theyd be there to investigate and take my statement...... 7:30 rolls around and still no cops, I finally leave. I call the lewis county police and ask whats going on, i get "well what was it that you wanted us to do about it?".

I called the neighboring county Thurston and reported this and they said I have little chance of recovering anything intact, but if i cared to I could come in and make a formal report.

Whatever faith I had left in the police is now gone.

This sounds like stole the stuff for scrap metal. Prices are high now. I would go to all the scrap prosessors good chance its located there. Most of those places do not want stolen stuff and will help you procecute. Had a friend find 3 of his cars at the local scrap yard but they were runied by the workers moving the cars around. Good Luck I hope ypu find them and try to get even... Bobby..

cops are ready to pull a gun on you if you don't stop at a sign, but try to get them to help you. I'd sit down and start writing down the names of anyone you know of that is into drugs, or hangs around druggies. Someone flapped their jaw to the wrong person, and they decided to make a move. Meth heads need to be shot, that crap makes people stupid and mean. Best luck finding the SOBs who did it, i'd only call the cops after you've "talked" to them.

As the victim of two breakins I feel your pain. Something doesn't sound right to me about the whole deal. First ,as has been mentioned, how in hell do you get so many vehicles without anyone seeing or hearing anything. Second, why isn't your uncle upset and screaming to the cops about a breakin at his place when he lost some things to. I don't want to pass judgement but it sounds like your uncles loss was just a cover to let him off the hook (WTF, a powersteering pump when a new Holley is right at hand). Was his loss covered by insurance (maybe the pump was bad all along)? I better quit, as if it were me I'd be asking some really tough questions and preparing to kick some ass if the answers didn't jive. There's a racoon in the woodshed on this deal.

what are all these meth references? Do you mean that they were cleaning out the shed to set up a meth lab? Or that they sold the stuff for money? there was even a comment that they might be tinkering with them I think.

If they are doing it for money, wouldnt you think theyd steal stereos and stuff, rather than old cars? Harder to move a car, and also im guessing that few meth users actually know of a market for old cars (and galaxie power steering pumps, for that matter).

My first guess was that it was scrap iron dealers (huge problem in my area), but since thay had taken whole cars, I dont think they would be taking a power steering pump (why wouldnt they just take the whole car, like the others)?

    Good Luck.
