After 7 years of rocking the original paint and interior on my 50 4 Door, I got bit by the bug. So the paint is coming off, as well as some other exterior pieces, and I'm going custom. Wish me luck! I will try and upload pics weekly.

found a lot less bondo than what we thought we would! Excited about that. Thinking of a gunmetal green with a light satin finish to it. Definitely keeping the firestones and wheels! I think we are going to bang out some dents, sand/prime the trim and bumpers and paint them a high metallic flake to give it a "new" finish look. I should have more pictures this weekend.

Please rethink the painted trim and bumpers. Just my opinion.

Hard to make that first move tearing into such a sweet looking car, wasn't it?

Please don't paint the trim, polish. Painted trim and bumpers is so '80's (Miami Vice).

The mono chrome look went out with the pastel hot rods and disco.

    Please rethink that! HRP

I had a buddy that had a nice driver 1957 chevy convertible in the early 90s, it was firethorn green, he decided to do a frame off but was having a hard time getting over taking apart a presentable running, driving car.....finally he went out in the garage one day and keyed it.....no turning back - many years and thousands of dollars later he was winning platinum awards at the cl***ic chevy conventions.....In retrospect he called it his "college education" and regretted the experience, even though the finished car was beautiful.
