ive got a 61 econoline i'm collecting parts for. i plan to start building as soon as my shop is done which should be in about a month. i'm looking for 60's bucket seats to put in the front. i'd like something nicer than the factory seats that are there. something like thunderbird or early mustang seats. i'd just like to see what other folks are running and what some other options might be. if they reclined any that'd be nice too! thanks yall.
Both Rambler and Studebaker had reclining bucket seats in the early sixties; not sure if they would be too wide or not.
If you want to spend the money on new seats there is an outfit called discountvanandtruck that has all kinds of seats in any covering you want.
DAMN! hellfish, thats what i mean! those are nice! just figured that since i dont have any, i might look for some that recline too.
Check out the **** seats sold by Jegs. You can get new seats for less than it would cost you to upholster a set of old seats. They recline and flip forward (for use in a 2 door car). Jeg's **** Pro Seats .
Not 100% traditional, not made in USA, but hard to beat for the price and the looks. I put a white set in my Model A and they fit great, and look like they belong. Hard to get a set recovered for the price and come with mounting brackets and sliders and recline way back. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Mustang-Style-Seat,58575.html
man i looked at those in the catalog and i liked them alot but they dont say (at least not in the catalog i have) that they recline. looking at the pic in your link i can see the handle. i may check into those. really id like to get four. two up front two in the middle, and a bench seat across the back.
