Nor exactly "rare"......but pretty desireable body style.........I'd be pleased to have one!

Sounds like a belair two door hardtop...not real rare but very desirable. I've had a couple and wouldn't mind having another. Depends on condition as to value of course. Pictures would really help. Tim

They had "coupes" by the terminology that chevy used that year, they were not typical short roof coupes as in years prior.

If that makes sense...I have a 1954 Delray Coupe as defined by Chevrolet. Its a 2 door post with a special vinyl interior and trim package, no short roofline!

Get a picture of this thing so we can discuss:D

Thanks guys for the info. I trying to get pics to load up with no luck. The car was just purchased as a package deal to settle an estate and the grandson wants to buy it back since his grandpa bought it new in 54. The kid insists the car is worth 30 grand. Didn't pay that for both cars, the other is a triple black 57 t-bird (super nice). Thanks again for the history lesson and I will get some pics for you guys to further Id the car.

As stated not rare, but desireable. $30k would be a realistic number if it were very nicely restored.
