Hi there, I've bought beautiful NOS white wall trim rings for my schoebox but the install sheet is missing. I have the rings and a lot of clips but no idea for the correct place for the clips. Have somebody the install sheet or an idea? Greetz Chris I've found a pic with the sheet but it's tooooo small... Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Sorry I can't help, but they do look good. I have some for '40 Ford wheels and they clip over the internal nubs that the 'caps clip onto. do yours overlap the rim, or sit between the rim lip and the hubcap? PS I think we need to know how many clips and blocks there are, to work out how many per wheel, and also a pic sitting on a wheel might help?
It's hard to explain... tomorrow I will take some pics for a better understanding.... So you can see the sizes of the clips and the trim rings on the rim.
Wahoooo... I'm a lucky guy.... On the bottom of the rotten paper bag from the install clips.... the original install sheet. Very small foldet but clean *GRIN* It's complicated to install the rings without the instructions but now it's done.
As early as 1940 or so Chrysler offered a similar wheel whitewall in white plastic, painted steel or even stainless for those who need shine. They used the hubcap to hold the rings to the wheel. You have a really neat and very rare accessory there. Enjoy.
You can buy similar rings in chrome for Ford cars. Holded by the hubcaps too. My white ones are made from steel and they are white painted. I've seen another complete set for $275. I've paid only $90
