Does anyone have a picture or diagram of how the window channels install in the rear part of the doors on a '53 Chevy sedan? I've had mine apart for too long, and absolutely cannot remember how they were mounted. (I've never replaced window channels before, ever.) I have a picture from a Fisher Body Manual, but it is about removing and installing the gl***, and the photo doesn't show the channels (they're focusing on the window regulators). Anyone? All I know is there's a stud mounted inside the door about 1/2 of the way up the inside of the door's back end. I found some bracket-y things in my box of window stuff, but they seem pretty light gauge to hold the back channels in place. Help! If anyone out there has a '49-54 Chevy with the gl*** installed but no door panels, could I talk you into pulling the access panel and taking a couple pictures?

Wow, thanks! I think I finally get it. The problem is I thought the channels went down farther in the door than they do. I used to be able to go to a nearby junkyard and just look at one of their numerous 53-54 Chevies when I had questions like this (which is why I didn't draw myself a diagram when I was dis***embling), but they crushed everything last year. I'm still in mourning.
