My nameis freddy58 and I am an Autoholic. More cars and projects than brains and money. I live just off old Route 66 near Williams (think Flagstaff) Arizona and have a business right on 66. The most interesting projects in the works include a '59 Silver Hawk G***er and a '51 Ford COE to haul it on. We (I have a very understanding and supportive spouce) also have an early 70s custom of a Ford F1 to bring back to glory. The full list stretches from a '30 Model A Ford right up to a Cobra kit we just ordered. Sick huh? Last year we helped organize the Nostalgia G***ers Racing ***ociation, which is operating mostly in the Midwest. We would like to see if there is any interest in such a group west of the Rockies. One of our biggest concerns is that there seems to be little interest displayed by the younger generation in preserving this obsession. Hopefully we are just looking in the wrong places. Cheers to all
Freddie58, welcome from Kansas City. My grandfather used to own a Gulf station in Waynesville, MO right on Route 66! Those were the good ole' days!
