    Thanks guys :)

This weekend was awesome. I whipped up a little firewall cover

And then Mr. Ford and hellonwheels came over and we dropped the body on this thing.

Awesome ride! Do you have any pics on how you modified/made the panels above the doors?

    Thank you guys.

I'll have to look through my photos. I think I did take some..

Tonight I got the body cinched down tight and even. Luckily it still all lines up!

Haha, not in the plan, although it is cool! I just have that piece off cause the bead was rotten and I have to replace it. Should be good to go soon though :)

I really like the three chrome ribs on that clear top insert. The whole thing just screams early sixties. Be hot as hell on a summer day though...

  16. Looking killer Dreddy I love the pleated firewall pad.

HAHA no kidding that thing would be a cooker inside.

kool design....but guy, using a cast iron axle with spit bones not great idea, and then to drill on top of that....these have been known to break, they dont like twist.hope your roads are like glass. forged axles or old v8 ford are a ok .the superbells were cast .unless standards have changed recently......don't wanna see ya get hurt.

Thanks for the concern, somewhere in his thread you'll see there is a ford axle waiting for me to narrow and drop. I have never seen or heard of a superbell breaking, other than one that was in a head on collision. And I know of a hell of a lot of cars with them (and split bones) but thanks for the warning:)

No clue. Sorry.. All I have is that picture.

I'm sure some of the other more seasoned HAMBers will be able to ID this car.

Hit an important milestone. I'm LEGAL! Did a lot of small things. Primed the motor, found tdc, moved the plug wires to where they should be, etc... Made a license bracket. Moved it outside for a sec..

Sits a tic higher than it used to. Right where I like it.

Got the column in. Aligned the car. 1/8" toe in and the wheel is straight. IT's gonna turn SO much better now.

My bro MJ (hellonwheels) was awesome and blasted my shell and headlights plus the rear roof section that needs a lot of help. I'll fix it properly after the show probably.

From now I'll probably disappear for a week. I have a box of crucial goodies on their way back from chrome (ex manifolds, fan, etc) that should be here tomorrow. I still have to wire it, install the manifolds, install radiator, gas tank, break in the motor and then drive this baby around before next week.

Break in the engine? Did you rebuild it?

    Looking great!
