Model A gauge placement. Opinions?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Slimegreeeeeen, Mar 12, 2013.

  1. I xeroxed my gauges and fiddled with placement ideas. After pushing circles in all different directions, this is where I netted out. Click to enlarge and let me know what you think. Model A gauge placement.jpg

First, let me say that you should have whatever you like, and that it's all been done before.

However, since you asked politely and I don't mean to criticize, I'm not personally crazy about the huge central gauge and the shift to the right.

Now, read the first sentence again. Good luck with your build.

Don't give a dam what someone else thinks. It's your car, your build, your vision, do it your way. I thought that's what hot rodding was all about.

If you are using the original "A" dash rail, the large gauge may be a little to high. I would check same in the car before cutting holes.

First impression was that it was for a R/H drive until I saw you were stateside.

I agree with charlieb66, if you are using the original upper dash rail, it hangs down quite a bit and may cover part of your large gauge. The gauges may need to move down.

  9. Where is your tach?
