If the trans. end of the cable wont match, call up a speedometer shop and have the end replaced with the right one. I just did this to my International pickup. It now has chevy hookup on one end and the stock on the other, but the spedo wont read right so they are making up a gear upgrade set up to get it close.
The cable end was 10.00 labor and 10.00 for the parts, now the gearing I have no idea what they are going to come up with, in the mean time I drive with the Tach. and a GPS.

find a right year speedo cable and pull the top end off and do the same with the old cable. epoxy or crimp the old end on the "new" cable. cost....

Should just screw on. Make sure all parts are in the trans. If its short have the auto parts get you one longer.

did you try? I'd bet they are pretty universal or aftermarket speedos would require different adapters to go in different cars. if it is just too short go to the junk yard and get another one that works.

Chev used the same speedo cable 1946 to mid seventies. So it might just fit.

I'm using the same cable to run my 47's with my 700R4. I took my old speedo and cleaned lubricated at it connection point. I was able to run it with my drill to make sure all was good. The cable hooked up fine. I made sure it was lubed lightly also.
