17 pounds of bondo and you're good to go! :D

I think it's a cool sled. Pound it out, a little CLR bath, wheels/tires, done.

A hammer. A torch. A pail of water with a rag. And a lot of patients to get it to lay right.

  6. That's not too bad. Go slow. Pressure in the center as you work down the ridges from the outside in. Slapping file will work well. I'd pull the gl*** so you can get good access.

Man...I expected to see worse. I've seen cars that a real barn fell on...those big old beams are heavy. Your Ford isn't too bad...no boxed sections hurt.

That's not bad at all. I'm sure you can do it. And as others have said, chop it!

That thing looks pretty solid other than the little ding in the roof. What are your plans for it?

Anyone that has the skill level and talent to build this can certainly handle a minor dent. :D HRP

it's a little worse that the 50 club cpe I was finally able to get - after the neighbors tree fell on it...roof and just behind the window - not trunk was crushed....it was my days of using bean bag chairs and a jack for body work....

  17. Just use the dry ice and a hair dryer, that lil' dimple will pop right up...or just buff it out.

Hah...I don't think that's a problem. As HRP said, if he can build a beautiful truck like the bad*** hot rod above, he'll be fine. That really is a nice truck!

No heat until ALL other options are exhausted. My 67 Chevy II met a similar fate, and while I don't have it perfect yet, I am getting there. Gentle pressure with the porta power, some diagonal straps, and a 2 ton floor jack, and we are getting there. It'll be ok, but its been a lot of hammer work. The worst of it was the drivers side drip rail and it was down about 8" from where it is supposed to be. Then there were 3 HUGE dents in the rest of the roof skin. The A pillar is also bent forward about 3 degrees. As I put pressure in the center of each dent, I gently tapped, slapped, and dollied the creases. I am also working it diagonally with come alongs to pull the A pillar back, and push the sail panel up slightly to remove the crease in the top of the fender. I work each area a little bit at a time. It is all pretty smooth now. I have some shrinking to do to finish pulling it all back tight, but its getting there.

Put a vinyl top on it, stretch it real tight and you'll never see that little dent.

It 's also a good spot to set your beer on when BS'ing with the boys, won't roll off.

Getcha some black enamel and a 1/2 inch throwaway brush. Paint a thumb print on it and tellem "Thats where God has his thumb to keep you outta harms way and on the road". I did that with a 63 Le Sabre.
Put the kids on that side cause they dont need that much headroom anyways.
That was easy. Nice car BTW.
