A few years ago I got this 32 rear frame cover from another Hamber. He got it from a guy in the Milwaukee area. It has a neat old semi-metallic dark rose color painted over the original Ford black and some nice pin striping on it. The pin striping is of good quality so someone of decent talent put it down. It obviously came off an old hot rod, probably from the 50s or 60s. I know its a real long shot, but does anyone recognize the striping/paint and know the car it came off?
It is in great shape. I just wish the rest of the sheetmetal for my Tudor was as nice. If I ever get to the point of needing it for my sedan, I might not have the heart to sandblast off the old paint and will have to use a rougher one I got. It’ll then just go into my collection of cool old hot rod parts.
That is actually close to the color I've been planning on painting the body. But the fenders are going to be black. Kinda like the 32 sedan R. Edwards had in the 70's.
