I'm in the process of installing the wiring to my tail lights. I purchased all stainless steel components but when I try to put the conduit in it will not bend enough under the wire shield. Of course no instructions came with any of this so I'm lost as to what to do. If I use the conduit do I really need the wire shield? If yes then how do I get the conduit to fit. If you look at the photo you can only see one end on the conduit and both pieces fit over the rubber piece that is at the back of the tail light, but no way to keep it there. If I put the other end of the conduit under the wire shield and close the tabs it will fit. The only thing that I can think of is to make cuts in the conduit so it would bend enough to fit, but doesn't make any sense at all.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks, chuck

That looks like headlight conduit.......if so it probably won't fit without modification.
I would take off the "end" and attach it some other way.....

How about something like this with hidden wires? Bob's F100 in Riverside, CA sells one similar to this but much better looking. http://www.bobsf100.com/

I don't think the conduit is suppsed to touch the light, only go into the retainer past the knot on the end then clamp on by bending the tab. That only leaves a very short wire uncovered. At least I have seen some that way. Good luck Jack

you are probably going to have to leave a short length of "just wire" out of the back of the light that will make the bend inside the wire shield. then use electrical tape to keep them to bound and hold the conduit so it is tucked under the end of the wire shield.

It appears you are trying to use headlight conduit. HRP
