Found this today when I read Gasoline Magazine and looked it up and this is some really cool 11 min long footage from a Grand Prix held in Sweden 1933.. http://www.svtplay.se/klipp/129752?type=embed Enjoy!
Great find,I really enjoyed the video but the whole time I was watching the video the narration reminds me of the Swedish Chief from Sesame Street. My 5 year old granddaughter is watching Sesame Street in the family room,,,I in no way am poking fun at the language,,,but with the video playing and the TV in the background it is ironic! Never understood a word of it, but fun translates well! Loved it when the co pilot jumped out to push then realized it wasn't necessary so he's running along side the moving car, in the snow yet, trying to jump back in while the spiked and spinning back wheel is chasing his ***.
Thanks for posting, I'm thinking about building one of those early racers just for the fun of it. Wife thinks I'm crazy....oh well.
There was atleast 3 32 fords there from the Ford team they came in 3-5th place if i remember right Nice to spend 4 1/2 hour in an open car in the winter in speeds up to about 90-100 mph
Haha not much Swedish in that Sesame Street Hördu S.G, det är Swedebobb från JockeyJournal, tyckte jag kände igen bilarna när jag läste igenom ditt intro sen såg jag hojen! Varsågod! Haha yeah, that sounds really fun in Swedish!
