Mystery Tool of the Day

    My brother had this in his tool box. He got it from our uncle. Owatanna Tool Co. Model CF-71. We haven't had success opening beer bottles, so we have ruled out bottle opener. Thanks.

    I have one of those too, I adapted it for use in gaping spark plugs........ ;-)

    It is a spark plug gapper. I used to have one made by Snap On that looked just like the one in the picture.
     
  5. Why would you need to adapt it? It's already a plug gapping tool as is. I have one too, but I've never used it

    I've had one of those for forty years. Still works like a champ for the older cars. Newer plugs are gapped with a yardstick! :mad:

    I don't understand the problem. I'd have no trouble opening beer bottles with that thing.

    Spark plug gapper , bought mine new in 1978, wow that was a long time ago.
