Out cleaning the pig sty I call the garage and was noticing that I have a lot of JEGS & SUMMIT stickers laying around. Got me to thinking about as a kid if I went to any car show parts house or tire store with Dad or my older brothers I would come home with all sorts of stuff! Key chains, coasters, pens, pencils, but my most prized possession would be the stickers! I would paste those ****ers all over the place my bike the the garage door basketball backboard anything I could reach! Except any ones car! My old man didn't want anything stuck on his ride! Must be where I get that from! Anyway just wondering if the JEGS & SUMMIT stickers are the STP stickers of the new generation? Seems how most manufactures don't give away much of anything any longer.
Every time I place an order with Summit or Speedway I get more decals in the box. Too bad they aren't the small, cool ones like STP and others had in the old days or I wouldn't toss them in the trash. Same with catalogs. Every week I have another Summit or Speedway catalog in my mailbox. They must have a hell of a printing press because they keep cranking these things out by the thousands. I feel bad tossing them out, but how many can a guy use ??? Don
Every Summit sticker I get has various sizes on the sheet. They are as small as an inch long to very large. I don't put them on either way. They get enough of my money that they should pay me to put their stickers on!
ive got a ton of em also i put the one summit decal with the american flag on it in the rear window of my daily f100 the rest are in abox i wish they were smaller i mean really do we need speedways billboard size
I wish more companys would throw in a small decal like they did in the 60s and 70s my favorite performace decals were the "Equipped" ones.
i had a "racer brown cams" decal on the window and when i pulled out the choke at a stoplight it almost sounded like my engine really had a cam in it!
If you live in the Columbus, OH area Jeg's stickers are as plentiful as HF ads, well maybe more so! KK
I give mine to the neighbors kids to put on their bikes or whatever. They like them but I still have a ton more
Hell, I make mine parta' the circular file... Edited ta' add: I got so many Summit n' Jegs ball caps I aked not ta' send 'em anymore.
Haha, those Jegs ball caps sure are a bright yellow. We just went to the drags last Sunday and I could spot my Son clear across the lot because he had one of those yellow beanies on. It is impossible to get lost if you are wearing one of those. Don
Dang I feel ripped off now. Recently spent close to a grand at Summit for some American Racing wheels and didn't get a Summit sticker or an American Racing sticker. But I do have a bunch of old STP stickers =)
