Hey there haven't posted for a while, the car has been on hold while other projects were being completed. I have an opinion question. My car needs new leaf springs as the main springs are cracked. I looked all over the web and the best pricing i could find was 190 each plus s&h. Now since i live north of the 49 the shipping would be worth more than the whole car. I have however acquired a 1980 chev 1/2 ton 2wd for parts ( i know not your average parts car) i was thinking of using the leaf springs from there. i am aware that there is a going to be alot of fabrication to install them. i am planning to go air ride next winter so i don't to unload a whack cash into suspension.

Look in the yellow pages for a spring shop. You should be able to get new springs made for around $200 a pair, installed. They can make them to fit any car.
