Well I finally got around to introducing myself to you all and I'm glad to be on board. Just picked up a 62 Falcon and know that a lot of you are building them here. I jumped off the Chevy band wagon and onto the Ford one, (hence 50 Coupe), oh well, stuff happens, right! Gonna cruise the site and see whats being done to the little birds by you all. Look forward to your suggestions and comments on lowering, hopping up the 179 six, paint options,etc.
Welcome aboard! Early, round-body Falcons are definitely cool. The first thing I would do is the Shelby UCA drop. You drop the upper control arm down 1" and back 1/8". It only lowers the car about 1/2" but it improves the handling quite a bit.
