I'm tryin to find my first project. Well make it my next project. Haven't rebuilt one in 15 years (and then it was a pretty mundane driver). Actually, I've done 4. I just never finished one until the last one. I started in the late 60's with first a 55 Bel Air coupe, started it and someone wanted it more than I did. Got another just like it and same thing happened. Both were drivers when I got them. First one wouldn't run but 35 mph when I bought it for $50. Va***med the floorboards and it ran like a new one. Started the body work and some guy came in and offered me $500 for it. Bought the second from a friend for $65. Didn't get much more than started on it and sold it for $350. Should have kept the second one. In the early 90's got a 69 El Camino and did a light restore (paint, body, and interior) and sold it. Then a 63 Chev SWB pickup. Nothing drastic, just paint, interior, engine, transmission, rear end, etc. Used it as daily driver until I changed jobs and had to do a lot of driving. Sold it and now I am in a position to really get serious about the next one. Looking at a 62 Impala coupe, a 63 Chevy 2 SS. trying to figure what will work on either one.
