Say that 3 times fast. Do these things have any place in the hot rod world? How about personal hygiene?

Yes, I'm reading the new HF flyer. :)

I bought one (not HF) a while back to help me remove countertop in our kitchen. It was pretty much worthless for that job. Tried it to s****e sound deadener from the inside of my car and it didn't work for that either. Might work as a detail sander but I already have one. Pretty limited tool.

With the proper end tools, can really save time with s****ing, windshield/gl*** work. Great for flooring, drywall and trim work in the house. :D

About the only tool I've ever bought there that actually works is my 2 lb hammer for $3.

I bought a HF one and the cutting blade has been handy for home renovations such as drywall, pvc tubing, or other hard to get at trim cuts. I wore out the first blade cutting thru some molding with nails but it worked.
Gonna try to redo the grout in the bathroom with the diamond attachment but haven't found a use for it the tool the garage yet. If I did more home renovation work I would spring for a higher priced version.

Thanks guys. I try to avoid home repair like the plague. Thought maybe it would be good for sanding in tight areas on the car you can't get with a DA. No toothbrush attachment either then eh?

I have a Ryobi detail sander and 4 inch pad sander I got at Home Depot for tight sanding spots. They both do a good job, the quality is a step up from HF and the price wasn't too bad.

Have the original one, not the multi speed. Use it all over on house renovations, but never touched it on the cars.

I've worn out one (well it's on it's last legs) and bought another, don't use it much on cars (yeah I know that was the original question) but if you do any work on your house it will save time and keep your blood pressure lower so you have more time to work on your car.

Is there a "marital aid" attachment available?

I've used mine a bunch but it has all been home repair type stuff. Haven't found a use for it in the garage yet but you never know.

I use mine just about everyday. When the blade is gone, I cut it off and tack weld the old part of a sawsall blade thats still good . Or a hack saw blade. Save lots of cash . And they cut better .
