Will a 700R4 bolt up to a '59 Chevy 235 or is that going to require an adapter plate?

    Thanks, Jim

I thought they changed the bolt pattern in 58 so that the inliners, w blocks, and small blocks shared a bell housing

Dont think the inliners changed till the 194,230,250 engines came out.

any GM inline pre 1963 will not bolt up to the good transmissions without an adapter.
