I don't know if anyone ever made one for a '32 Ford but they were common in the 1930's. I had a 1933 Lagonda with one, Bentley & Bugatti had them on some models.
I have heard rumors of them for the 32 but have never seen one, just looking to see if anybody has actualy seen one.
I remember seeing them in the day but have no idea where to get one. I would like to have one for my future project.
Yes *****in Products still makes them. They are about $500. I think they only made them for a 32 Ford.
I have a friend called Pete Hart here in the U.K. that had a 32 firewall cast in ally, Not sure if he's on here or not. It sure looked very cool. Here's a pic Steve.
The picture posted by Lost Angel is what i had in mind with the horizontal ribs. I am planning on making one up for my T-roadster pickup.
I was looking at a cargo ramp on one of the work trucks today. Two 1/16" beads separated by a 1/16" and then an 1/8" space, then repeating. Would look OK and a $100 used ramp would do at least three cars. Just make sure it's a wide as the firewall is tall.
Anyone want one? I'm a "*****in" dealer.Ship it tomorrow for ya. Don't have a picture...look here, www.*****inproductsinc.com
Group: Ed Bl***engame has one in Dallas TX. don't know what he will take for it. His # is 214-460-4492. Dwrfab Don Ross
Does anyone make a cast aluminum firewall that looks like a '32 but fits a model T? No? Guess I'll have to get started on that.
......... and Duesenberg, Rolls-Royce, Pierce-Arrow, Hispano-Suiza, and no doubt more I don't remember or have never seen.
There were at least two different versions. Difference was in the feet. I had one for a time but due to engine placement, I had to recess for sbc distributor. Uh oh, cast cracked. didn't use then. Looks good but pay attention to the hood lace channel if you are running a hood. I didn't use Brookville Roadsters flat firewall for that reason. Jack
i seem to remember a big long thread on these because of the firewall on the 32(?) in the Iron Man movie
