  1. well can't miss the pileup, made the first 3, hate to miss the forth. and the thought of 60mph for 800 miles makes me cringe....
got the bug up my ass to add a 700R4...
well rear is out, trans out, S-10 rear prepped, and mocked the Walton trans crossmember in, no exciting pics yet, but will post as they actually get interesting

Last year, a buddy and I thrashed for a week before the pileup replacing an ailing flathead with a 302/C4 in his '49 Ford. The night before the pileup, we finally had it done. We were all set to go for our first ride, but when we put it in gear, all we heard was a horrible grinding sound from the trans. Turns out the motor was rebuilt, but the trans wasn't:( Hope you have better luck than we did.

I am in the same boat....

started swapping on disc brakes but I am stuck waiting for some materials to machine out my caliper mounts (should be here monday) so once they get here I have to go crazy on the mill to get them done.

then the 17's are not clearing the fenders so I found a guy that can loan me a fender roller so I can get that extra 1" of clearance I need out of the fenders. I know you guys will bitch and moan about having 17's but I already had them and they are torque thrust rims....

and then there is the turbo.....

I need to finish welding up my bonnet for that, more little stuff needing attention to get the stupid manifold bolted to the car for good for once and still need to get a cable throttle conversion done (I did a buyitnow and the fucker is taking like two weeks to ship it!!)

    Hey Jeff,
Lemme know if you need a hand one day. I get home Oct. 2nd. Packers play on Monday night, so that's out...but I can help later in the week. Hopefully I'll be over the jetlag. I wanted to make the PileUp this year, but my ol lady will kill me if I go out of town right away.
