Does anyone know where I can get a set of drop spindles for my 58 Dodge ? Don't really want to just crank down the bars as the ride ****s Any clues or suggestions would be good I am state side over easter in LA / Vegas Cheers Shanno
I'm guessing that what you want is not going to be available for that car. Spindles could be machined or fabricated. That's commonly done for some kinds of race cars. Possibly the control arm could be modified where it attaches to the ball joint, and the inner pivot of the upper arm raised a similar amount. I suggest you avoid ball joint extenders. Any good solution you do yourself is going to be quite a bit of work. Something to think about; when you lower you need stiffer springs/bars to avoid bottoming. The stiffer springs will provide a better(and safer) ride than softer ones that allow bottoming.
