I'm 6' 2" and chopped a 41 Ford truck cab 4" and I have a least 4" over my head. The truck sits really low, rockers are maybe 5" off the ground. I stepped the frame that I built for it about 6" under the cab. It looks like it's heavily channeled but with lots of room inside. My brother has a severely chopped AND channeled '34 I can't se out the window in. He's about 6' tall and has to get out and stretch every two hours or he'll gimp around for days after a long run.

I'm 6'2" and have owned a few Model A's. If you use a Caravan middle seat, you can fit it far enough back that it will tuck into the trunk space. Then, there is no issue with leg room. My wife is 5'10" and her legs are quite a bit longer than mine. She actaully says that the seat is too far back in my '29 Model A roadster (maybe I just slouch too much). My '30 coupe had plenty of room by reworking the stock seat. No chop, but I had an easy 3-4" of space over my head. I would think that a channel job would be the " kiss of death" for space issues. But, then again, I've never owned a channelled car.

When I trust tw truck to make the trip I will!!!!! But I'm only 23 so maybe being cramped up in a cab isn't so bad at my age. :D

Should not have too many issues as far as height in that sedan. It will be a ball tweaking the look of that car to make it yours. Way cooler than any55 ford too IMO.

NIce! One of my favorite cars. I use to have one. I'll help you find the fenders, my nieghbor has them. I got a cherry Model A frame I could sell you too. You could definately make that into a *****en traditional rod.

I'm 6'4" and my shoulders usually end up halfway into the p***enger seat. I've considered moving the toe-kick/floorpan forward in my 40's pickup cab before I even START any sort of build to give me more legroom. You can modify anything, and if you plan for it, you'll be much happier with the end result. As far as width goes, if you have that issue also...there's really no solution.

Yuppers, I've seen more than one guy buy/build a rod and then find out that he couldn't fit in it to drive it.

Best advise I can give is to hit a bigger swap meet where there will be a number of cars for sale and try the interesting ones on for size (with the seller's permission of course). That way you can add or eliminate certain ones from your list then and there.

You will find that anything with a recessed firewall needs to have the seat moved back or room to move the seat back.
Foot room is important if you have feet sized to match the height. Some of the older model rods only have room for a size 8 loafer and if you try to put size 14 running shoes in there there is no room for anything.

Usually but not always, the later the year model the more room you might have.

Not always... I had a XK-120 roadster and had to replace the seat bottom with a thinner one to get my head below the windshield...

My first rod was a channeled 1930 Ford coupe... not chopped, seat riser was removed, 1966 Mustang seats... fit was fine.
