Has anyone had any luck converting a 1959 thunderbird front brakes to discs?
I have researched quite a bit and had very little luck with feed back.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. My car is an original J code, (430 mel), so master and booster may pose a problem, that is why I am hoping to find someone that has had experience in this conversion.
    Thank you in advance, Ben.

I think the Granada swap works.

If I remember, (something that's fading away, slowly, LOL!!), those early "Square-Birds" used the same front end components as the same-year Fords, including the spindles. Which means you can use later spindles; '72 to '79 Torino, LTD II, T-Bird, and Merc equivalents. The only draw back on using these, they have a greater K.P.I. angle, (king-pin inclination), translated; if you don't have power steering, you'll need it now!! And the upper A-arm shaft will need to have some material removed where you put your alignment shims, in other words increase the distance; keep it under .125. Easy way to do it, but these aren't real plentiful anymore!!
