I was under the impression that the ethanol wasn't subsidized anymore? The gas station on the corner by my house has both E85 (which used to be about 30 cents cheaper) and E10, and now the E85 is much closer in price to the E10.

So far I guess I been lucky. My cars set for 6 months @ a time with no inbetween startup. When I do start them I fill the tank full & add the blue(marine ) sta-bil & marvel mystery oil. I run this all the time & so far no problems.
Next time tou're at a station that offers non ethanol gas do the Math. From what I've figured they should pay me to fill up on pure ethanol. I really can't figure out why I'm payin as much as I do For whiskey.
Also I've found that since gas has become higher in ethanol I've had to replace lawn mower gaskets more regularly. And now that I'm divorced my ex has had to learn the process.
I normally fill up at BP. AMOCO used to have ethonal free gas. Now they are gone. Giant Eagle has fuel perks, and there gas burns like water.
I try to purchase gas from a top tier supplier. I have had good experience using their fuel. http://www.toptiergas.com/
As a comparison to my Ethanol damaged vehicle, I had another that sat for about a year but had non-ethanol gas in the tank, about half full, and I have had no damage to anything. Been driving the **** out of it. I'm truly a believer that it's bad for older vehicles that sit frequently. I'm also going to try and stop letting my junk sit around for so long!
I was told by the guy who rebuilt my carb to run non-ethanol gas if at all possible. I can still find a lot of pure gas here in OK. On a side note, lots of stations advertise "no alcohol" or "pure gas". I saw a liquor store the other day with a sign that said "No gas in our alcohol."
