A friend is rebuilding his 60 vette as a Hot Rod Resto Mod. He had this old wrap on his steering wheel.

It disintegrated when he removed it.

Where can he find a new one, he claims that he has searched the internet with no luck.

Thanks in advance for the answer.

  6. We used to get creative back in the 70's and 80's, and s***ch them the same way that modern leather wheels are now. You might even see one with contrasting s***ching.

BobK, have your friend visit "wheelskins" before he buys a vinyl wheel cover.

Bob, try the Hot Rod Shop on Walnut st. in Milwaukee. I was there not too long ago, and I seem to remember seeing it there.

Bob... I think a good leather one would work, then take it to a saddle shop maybe and ask them to punch the holes in it, that might be your only way to replicate it. Most of the ones posted above are the cheap chinese **** you're not looking for.

what is the diameter of the Vette wheel ? - easy to find covers/wraps for wheels up 15 1/2" or so. larger diameter not so easy.

It seems that I remember the one on my 62 was 18".

BTW, he is looking for one like in the picture with the rather large holes in it. All of the ones suggested so far have either no holes or very small ones.
