DeSoto and Dodge share basic body, but different from Plymouth.

Rockin - that 47 Desoto coupe has been for sale for awhile. You should snap it up, looks to be in good shape.

I have a '47 DeSoto S11 Club Coupe. The body is like the Chrysler Windsor, different grill but many parts are the same. It would have the 236 six, the Chrysler got the 251.

  6. DeSoto is larger than the P15 Plymouths.

And it should have the 25 inch length flathead six, while the Plym has
a 23 inch engine. (at least the USA made ones do)

DeSoto used same body as Chrysler Windsor, with different t*******s, same ch***is, same engine with 1/4" shorter stroke crankshaft. Most parts like brakes, steering, tuneup, pistons, fan belts etc will interchange.

Plymouth is a completely different car, different body, different ch***is, suspension, engine, trans, everything.

I see no pic of the car but with the fact that you're from Canada, it's not a DeSoto Diplomat, a Plymouth with DeSoto trim?
