Model A sill plates/scuff plates

    In the process of putting carpet in my Model a coupe and would like to see some pics of what people are using for sill plates or scuff plates to hold down and cover the edge of the carpet in the door opening area.

    I have used many different thing on customers cars , from straight almuminum carpet strips to edge strips from different cars. I like the ones from different cars with maybe the ford logo. Some trimming required. I don't have pics. Good luck Jack
     
  3. on my `28 tudor i have these aluminum sill plates i bought from Rock Valley antique auto parts in about 1995. i'm not sure if they still offer them , they told me at the time they had one set left and wasn't going to make anymore. maybe that has changed

    hard to see in the photo , but the inner edge drops down and holds the carpet down

    love the set from rRock Valley thats what I am looking for. Could not find them on their web site.
     
  6. yes , they are nice stuff.......but i don't think they offer them anymore

    you could call them and ask
