Alliance Vendors List Trouble?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by INVISIBLEKID, Mar 23, 2013.

  1. The rest of the board is opperating as usual, but when trying to search the Alliance list,I'm getting all kinds of crap- some of it is child related:mad:.Can anyone please check on their end. Once the screen(if it does) start getting all crazy and you exit, you'll lose the board and have to re-log back on.
    This shit is not cool!
    Thanks.

  2. I was looking at it less than 10 minutes ago and I wasn't having any problems. HRP

  3. Just checked it again and everything is as it should be. HRP

  4. Thanks HRP- I just tried again and I got bells and whistles alarming me of threats and viruses! Gonna have to hit up my "computer guy". All my blockers/firewalls,etc... are operating.
    Anyone else?

No problems for me either. Some of the antivirus programs are worse than the things they are trying to prevent. I've been using Microsoft Security Essentials for a couple of years with no problems. I'm using Firefox with Adblock plus. Maybe the problem is an advertisement if you don't use a blocker.

Ryan posted some thing about a spam attack resently , maybe the bug passed your fire wall, when you pulled up the H,A.M.B. and nailed you when you went to Alliance Vendors.

  10. I went back and made sure my browser (firefox) was completely clear and I had my security (kaspersky) do a complete clean. Most of the vendors on the list come up ok. There were a few that sent you off to the bad stuff, and I believe one was just a link that no longer worked. I should have written them all down when I was going through them ...oops

Do either of you guys know how to do a screen grab? If not, what are the pop ups trying to advertise?

I will beat this damned thing.

  18. HRP- YES- More than once.....after this morning.

Ryan- NO. When I went to alliance vendors,it got real nutty.....Kinda like the movie Independence Day when they upload the virus and the jolly roger appears.......Skull and Crossbones, and bells and whistles going off on my end.Got out of there ASAP! But kinda noticed the first time what was registering....Child stuff, and other shit.
    Everything else is working though.

To do a screen grab, hit the print screen button (far left of the three buttons at the top of the keyboard above the arrow keys). Then open up your favorite photo software, if someone doesn't have one, Windows normally comes with a program called paint under start/all programs/accessories in XP, and then click edit/paste and save the picture.

I was getting random websites taking over when I opened up the HAMB earlier. It was on the JJ page. Deleted cookies and history and ran a virus scan that didn't find any thing and it seems to be fixed.
