OK, I'm exaggerating a bit. Actually it's just a few guys that never met in person, getting together in my shop, for some welding and metal working. Little bit of a cl***, and a chance to burn & beat metal. I have a 4" section in progress on my Stude, so we can play with that if anyone is so inclined. We'll do a BBQ for lunch. You'll have to bring your own beverages of choice, and little else. A good time will be had by all! I think we have room for two more, now that the "butchered bird" project is off the bench, and back on the rotisserie. PM me if your sure you'll make it. This Sat March 23 @ Tinbenders World Headquarters, on the beautiful "lower" South Hill in Spokane.
I wish I could commit to come, but I don't want to tie up a space and then bail. I should probably spend the time working on my wagon anyway. With some luck, I should be driving it soon.
Just sent a PM.... We still have room.....welding, play with some metal shaping. Gonna be a good time!
One more time.........picked up a bunch of steel, added a small E wheel to the tool collection..........Did I mention this is FREE!
I've got to get the "box with wheels" back together this weekend or else go buy another rig or I'd be up for a road trip.
It was a great time for sure. Can't thank Eric enough for opening his house and teaching me lots of things I've always wanted to learn He even made us lunch!! What a great guy. If he does this again, don't miss out. Thanks again Eric, I owe you one.
My pleasure guys! I had a great time myself, made some new friends. How can you beat that! And yes we will do it again!
When we got home and Russ and I had to try out our new gas-welding skills. Couldn't get the torch to produce a good flame. When it was close, it was waaaaaay too hot. The torch valves seemed much too touchy, we barely would crack the valve and get a giant flame. We tried different regulator settings between 3-10. Nothing helped. I'm going to take the torch in to get serviced on Monday to see if that helps.
Looks like fun. I hope you do it again sometime. Just had knee surgery on Wednesday or i would have made the trip over.
